Interim Communications Lead (6-Month Contract)
Rate: £600-£700 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hybrid/UK-based

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Lead to join a dynamic organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering high-impact communications across a complex change environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned to organisational objectives

  • Lead internal and external communications during a period of transformation and change

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to craft clear, engaging messaging

  • Oversee content creation across multiple channels (digital, Intranet, leadership comms, etc.)

  • Manage communications planning, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment

  • Provide expert advice on reputation management and stakeholder engagement

  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior communications role, ideally within large or complex organisations

  • Strong background in change communications and transformation programmes

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience managing multiple communication channels and campaigns

  • Ability to operate at pace and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Desirable

  • Experience in regulated or professional services environments

  • Background in consultancy or interim assignments

Additional Information

  • Competitive day rate of £600-£700 (Inside IR35)

  • Hybrid working model

  • Immediate or short-notice start preferred
