About Our Computer Support Technician


Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver who delivers exceptional customer service. The Computer Support Technician will support and maintain company laptops, desktops, software, and IT systems and have an opportunity to gain experience managing our network.


This position is ideal for someone just starting out in your career working with computers and technology. If you thrive in a fast-paced, result-driven environment and like to troubleshoot computer issues and help keep computer systems running smoothly, this may be the job for you!



Responsibilities


  • Respond to incoming Help Desk tickets and provide internal customer support
  • Set up and maintain computer workstations, including re-imaging and deploying Dell desktops and laptops, and managing cables on desks and other work areas
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnose individual and ecosystem issues by asking questions, listening to understand, and identifying the internal customer's issue
  • Keep internal customers informed of progress, changes, and solutions in a timely and effective manner
  • Document resolutions and lessons learned in the team logs for future reference, including suggestions for improvement
  • Use good judgment and act in a trustworthy and discrete manner with confidential information
  • Where needed, escalate tickets to the next level of support personnel; this may include interfacing with third-party support services

Qualifications


  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products, and able to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Basic experience with various operating systems (Linux, MacOS, Windows) and network protocols (LDAP, DHCP, DNS, etc.) preferred
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A+ certification preferred
  • Experience with Oracle JD Edwards a plus

This is a full-time, in office position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Starting salary is within the posted range and is determined by experience, education, and potential.
