Job Title: Configuration Manager
- Location: Bristol (2-3 days per week) + hybrid working
- Contract Length: 12 Months + (Long Term)
- Contract Rate: £500/day Inside IR35)
Overview of the Role
We are seeking a Configuration Manager to support the delivery of the scope on Sizewell C, working across multiple civil and structural workstreams.
This role sits at the heart of design governance and control, ensuring that all project documentation, configuration records, and change processes are managed effectively across a complex, multi-building programme.
- Maintaining consistency, traceability, and alignment between design packages and workstreams in a highly regulated nuclear environment.
- Manage and maintain configuration control across multiple design workstreams
- Oversee all project documentation, ensuring alignment with contractual and reference requirements
- Maintain and update the configuration register, lists of applicable documents, & design baseline records
- Coordinate and control change management processes, ensuring impacts are assessed and communicated across all affected workstreams and ensure consistency between design packages
Key Requirements
- Experience in configuration management, document control, or change management within a complex engineering project
- Background in regulated industries (nuclear, defence, infrastructure, rail, or similar)
Strong understanding of:
- Design documentation and control processes
- Change control and impact assessment
- Multi-disciplinary project environments
- Ability to manage interfaces across multiple workstreams
- Experience conducting audits and ensuring compliance
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience on major nuclear projects such as Hinkley Point, Sizewell C or similar new build programmes
- Background in civil/structural or engineering environments (not essential)
- Experience working client-side or within major tier 1 supply chains (e.g. EDF, NNB, EPR programmes)
