Construction Field Inspector (NOC 22233)

Compensation: $80,500 annually (approx. $38.70 per hour) + extended health and medical benefits Job type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) Job location: Various locations across the Greater Vancouver Area, BC Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related construction work. Experience with curtain wall and glazing system installation is preferred. - Good command of spoken and written English. - College diploma or university degree in construction, civil engineering, architectural technology, or a related discipline. Main duties: - Inspect faade, window wall, and glazing installations to ensure compliance with construction drawings, project specifications, and SFGs quality control procedures; - Conduct field inspections at various stages of construction, from initial installation through project completion and occupancy; - Review project documentation and maintain accurate records of inspection findings and site observations; - Identify deficiencies or non-conforming work and document recommended corrective actions; - Verify that corrective work has been completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards; - Participate in inspections prior to testing of building envelope systems, including preparation for water testing procedures; - Investigate service requests related to installed faade and glazing systems and document inspection findings; - Prepare internal reports and maintain inspection records, including photographs and supporting documentation; - Liaise with project team members, consultants, and subcontractors to address quality issues and support successful project completion; - Ensure that all inspection activities are carried out in compliance with applicable safety regulations and company procedures.
