Contract Markit EDM Production Support Analyst
Edinburgh (Hybrid - 1 day in the office)
Initial 6 months | Inside IR35 | £450 per day
We're supporting a well-established financial services organisation in Edinburgh looking for a Markit EDM Production Support Analyst to join a small, close-knit data team.
This role is firmly production support-focused. You'll be responsible for keeping the Markit EDM platform running smoothly, acting as a key point of contact between technology and the business, and ensuring issues are identified, communicated, and resolved quickly.
What you'll be doing:
- Monitoring daily Markit EDM batch runs and checking for errors or failures
- Investigating breaks, performing root cause analysis, and driving resolution

Triaging support calls and incidents, prioritising appropriately
- Communicating clearly with investment and business users around issues and fixes
- Working closely with internal tech teams and vendors where required
- Maintaining clear operational documentation and handovers
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in Markit EDM production support (or very closely related EDM environments)
- Comfortable operating in a BAU/run-the-platform role
- Solid SQL query skills for investigation and analysis
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills - calm, clear, and dependable
- Someone who enjoys being the go-to person when things need fixing
Desirable (but not essential):
- Oracle Forms
- XPF
- Snowflake
- .NET
- Background in EDM development (will be considered if keen to move into production support)
