An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Contracts Manager to join a fast paced and growing commercial team within the Electronic Warfare and Integrated Mission Solutions environment. This role offers the chance to work on complex UK and international programmes, supporting both existing contracts and new business opportunities across defence and export markets.

Key skills

  • Proven commercial and contract management experience within the Aerospace and Defence sector
  • Experience supporting business-winning and bid activities
  • Strong knowledge of UK Government and international contracts
  • Excellent understanding of contract law and commercial risk management
  • Knowledge of export legislation, import duties, and international trade considerations
  • Strong commercial acumen including profit and loss, margin, mark-up, escalation, and foreign exchange principles
  • The ability to develop and execute complex commercial strategies

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic and tactical oversight across multiple contracts and bid activities
  • Drafting, negotiating, and administering complex contractual terms and conditions
  • Supporting subcontract flow-down activities alongside Procurement teams
  • Developing and presenting clear commercial strategies to internal stakeholders
  • Producing accurate and compliant pricing submissions using appropriate pricing models
  • Leading commercial correspondence and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Drafting and reviewing agreements including NDAs, Software Licence Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, and other contractual documents
  • Managing contractual obligations, change control processes, and commercial risk mitigation activities
  • Supporting proposal preparation and internal bid approval processes
  • Ensuring adherence to commercial governance and business processes
  • Building strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment

Please note, there is some UK travel to customer and internal sites required, with occasional international travel possible
