Create and prepare a variety of curry dishes according to the restaurants menu and standards. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. Ensure the kitchen/work area is tidy and clean. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Plan the menus, and maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment.
