About the Role:
We seek an experienced Credentialing Specialist to support a high-priority project with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Veteran Affairs (VA). This fully remote, full-time contract role requires expertise in provider and facility credentialing, particularly within complex and regulated healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process provider and facility credentialing applications by DoD and VA requirements
- Verify provider credentials, licenses, certifications, education, training, and experience
- Maintain and update credentialing data using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cactus, CAQH)
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely onboarding and re-credentialing
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards
- Track expirables and maintain accurate documentation and audit trails
Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contract

5+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, including facility and provider enrollment
- Prior experience supporting DoD, VA, or other federal healthcare programs is highly preferred
- Proficiency with credentialing software such as Cactus
- Familiarity with NCQA, URAC, CMS, and other regulatory standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
