Turn data into commercial decisions that actually move the needle.

We are hiring a Data Analyst on a day rate contract to help transform how a major UK business understands margin, pricing, and sales performance.

About the role:

You will join a large, multi-brand organisation in the middle of a data transformation, helping to improve visibility and trust in key commercial metrics. This is a high-impact role where your analysis will directly influence pricing, margin, and revenue decisions.

Project overview:

The focus is on rebuilding and enhancing reporting across sales and margin performance, including complex rebate-driven margin structures. You will work closely with stakeholders to define what the business needs from its data, while helping shape a scalable analytics capability that can be rolled out more widely.

What you will be doing:

You will act as the bridge between the business and data teams, translating commercial requirements into clear, actionable insights. This includes analysing sales, pricing, and margin drivers, and ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and easy to use.

You will also design and build dashboards, support the move away from Legacy tools, and work with Data Engineers to define datasets that enable self-serve analytics across the business.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in data analysis, BI, or commercial analytics
  • Proven experience working with pricing, margin, or financial data
  • Advanced Excel and experience with Power BI or similar tools
  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Experience in transformation or migration projects
  • Exposure to tools such as Phocas, Synapse, or Databricks
  • Background in retail, distribution, or similar sectors
Contract details:
  • Day rate contract £350 to £450 per day
  • Outside IR35
  • 6 months initial term
  • Hybrid working, Warwickshire
