Data Architect (SAS - Legacy & Viya)

• Up to £670/day - Inside IR35
• Mostly remote (Telford 2 days onsite per month)
• 6-month contract
• Current SC clearance required

We're looking for a SAS Data Architect to own the design and governance of SAS-based solutions across both Legacy and modern environments.

You'll define integration patterns, guide data teams, and support modernisation from Legacy SAS estates into SAS Viya and cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Own SAS architecture across Legacy SAS and Viya environments
• Define integration patterns with enterprise data platforms
• Provide design assurance and governance
• Support migration and modernisation strategies
• Act as technical authority for SAS decisions and risks
• Work with engineers, vendors, and platform teams

Key Skills

• Strong SAS architecture experience (SAS 9.x/Base SAS/Grid)
• Experience integrating SAS with enterprise data warehouses
• Understanding of migration from Legacy SAS to Viya
• Experience in regulated or large-scale environments
• Cloud exposure (desirable)
• Previous Public sector experience
