Data Engineer (Data Vault, AWS, Data Modelling, Data Ingestion)
Location: Manchester
Contract Duration: 6 months
Hours: Full-time

This is a *Manchester* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *ensuring data is reliable, secure, and easy to use. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.*

About the Role

Our client is building a modern, scalable data platform to support advanced analytics and better decision-making across their travel products.

As a Data Engineer, you will design and build high-quality data pipelines, ensuring data is reliable, secure, and easy to use. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks

• Apply data modelling techniques (including Data Vault)

• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across datasets

• Troubleshoot and improve existing data pipelines

• Support analytics teams with data access and insights

• Contribute to best practices, architecture, and continuous improvement

• Mentor junior engineers where required

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience in data engineering

• Strong experience with AWS and modern data tools (eg Spark, Kafka, DBT)

• Solid data modelling skills (Dimensional & Data Vault)

• Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines

• Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security best practices

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience in Agile environments
