Role Overview:

TCS is seeking an experienced and proactive Data Product Owner to support the Network Design Digital & Data team in delivering strategic data products that enable the transformation of the electricity transmission network across England and Wales. This role plays a critical part in supporting Net Zero ambitions by driving the development, delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise data products and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Product Ownership - Own the full product life cycle, define vision and roadmap, translate business needs into user stories, and prioritise the backlog.
• Stakeholder Management - Act as the bridge between technical teams and business users, facilitating workshops and aligning expectations across multiple workstreams.
• Delivery - Drive design and implementation of Data Products and Data Fabric solutions, overseeing testing, release planning, and production deployment.
• Governance - Maintain product documentation, define KPIs, ensure compliance with data governance standards, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Background in utilities, energy, electricity transmission, or infrastructure
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and master data
• Exposure to analytics, BI, or reporting solutions
• Understanding of Net Zero or energy transition initiatives
• Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, Product Owner, or Data Delivery Lead
• Strong track record delivering and managing enterprise Data ProductsExperience within Data Fabric or modern cloud-based data ecosystems
• Ability to translate business requirements into deliverable technical solutions
• Full delivery life cycle experience including production releases
