Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage and process Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other data subject rights requests (e.g. rectification, erasure, restriction) in line with statutory timelines, escalating complex cases where required.
- Coordinate and support data deletion activities, ensuring requests are completed accurately and in accordance with retention policies and legal requirements.
- Act as a first point of contact for routine data protection queries, providing guidance to employees and escalating complex or high risk matters to the Data Protection Specialist.
- Support the investigation and documentation of data incidents and potential personal data breaches, ensuring timely escalation and accurate record keeping.
- Provide administrative support to the Data Protection Specialist in managing data protection processes, controls, and compliance activities.
- Assist in monitoring third-party compliance and supporting due diligence and risk management processes.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting activities by preparing documentation and tracking actions.
- Help deliver data protection training and awareness initiatives by coordinating sessions and maintaining training records.
- Collaborate with Data Protection Champions and business stakeholders to support consistent application of data protection practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data protection processes, templates, and administrative controls.
Essential Criteria Job Specific Education / Qualification
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. business, law, IT, or compliance).
- Demonstrated interest in data protection and privacy.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in an office or administrative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information accurately.
- Experience managing or supporting multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
