One of our Government clients is looking for an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering 560 per day INSIDE IR35.
Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They offer hybrid working, 3 days per week on site.
This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
Role Responsibilities
Integrate security practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Work with cross functional teams to build, deploy and optimise Azure infrastructure and applications.
Implement secure design principles and define appropriate cloud security controls.
Select and integrate tooling into the CI/CD pipeline.
Automate security testing, compliance checks and operational procedures.
Monitor security alerts and support incident response and remediation activities.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, reviews and scrums.
Provide technical guidance to team members across distributed teams.
Apply strong problem solving skills to resolve infrastructure and application challenges.
Essential Skills Experience
Proficient in Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, Terraform,
PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code tools.
Experience with Cloud Adoption Framework/Landing Zones.
Strong knowledge of Checkov, CI/CD, autoscaling and cloud native tooling.
Hands on experience with Azure Migrate and cloud migration projects.
Experience working with cloud native tools and services.
Ability to collaborate across distributed teams and engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving capability.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of AWS.
Experience with on premise platforms.
Background working in secure environments.
Desirable Qualifications
Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
