We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a DevSecOps Cloud Engineer to join them on a major Defence project that's based in London.
Job Title - DevSecOps Cloud Engineer
Day Rate - £650/day
Location - London (2 days per week)
iR35 determination - Inside
Duration - 6 months initial
SC Clearance is a must as a pre-requisite
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise cloud landing zones, security frameworks, and infrastructure tooling
- Enable secure connectivity across multiple sovereign cloud environments in different countries
- Work closely with government stakeholders, security teams, and policy groups to support system accreditation and compliance
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools
- Implement observability, monitoring, and secure configuration baselines for scalable environments
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate infrastructure into development and deployment workflows
- Lead technical activities during environment setup, troubleshooting, and validation
- Support the development of secure, next-generation architectures for multinational systems and data sharing
- Act as a technical representative in customer engagements, demonstrations, and operational environments
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Eligibility to obtain UK SC Clearance
- Strong background in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering (8+ years)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Source control systems (eg Git-based platforms)
- CI/CD pipelines (eg GitLab, CircleCI or similar)
- Identity and access management solutions (eg SSO, federated identity)
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments
- Ability to operate across distributed teams and international stakeholders
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Experience in defence, government, or other highly regulated industries
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise cloud environments
- Experience supporting AI, autonomy, or data-intensive platforms
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience working across multinational programmes
