Lead DevSecOps Engineer | AWS | Cloud Security | CI/CD

Contract | £775 per day | Inside IR35
West London (2 days per week onsite) | Minimum 6 months

We are recruiting a Lead DevSecOps Engineer for a large-scale, highly regulated enterprise environment, operating at significant scale across AWS and multi-cloud platforms.

This is a lead-level DevSecOps contract role, responsible for defining DevSecOps strategy, embedding security-by-design, and integrating automated security controls across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and the full SDLC.

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Lead DevSecOps Engineer in regulated enterprise environments
• Strong background delivering security-by-design across AWS and multi-cloud architectures
• Experience operating at scale within financial services, banking or similarly regulated industries
• Ability to define and own DevSecOps strategy, standards and best practices
• Hands-on experience embedding automated security controls across:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, multi-cloud)
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Deep expertise in application security and mobile security
• Strong vulnerability management experience
• Proven ability to integrate security tooling into engineering workflows without impacting delivery velocity
• Experience modernising Legacy security and DevOps practices
• Strong consulting and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior engineering, security and leadership teams
• Comfortable leading and guiding multi-disciplinary DevSecOps and engineering teams
