Job Title: CMM Programmer I
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Location: Exeter, NH
Pay Rate: $40 - $46/hour
Position Summary The CMM Programmer I is responsible for developing, editing, and troubleshooting CMM and gauge inspection programs for simple to medium complexity components. This is a hands-on role that includes both programming and on-the-floor inspection support, including proving out programs and assisting with inspection activities. The position works closely with programmers, inspectors, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and modify existing CMM/gauge inspection programs using 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Design operator-friendly prompts and interfaces for inspection programs
- Prove out inspection programs on equipment, identifying and resolving navigational and computational issues
- Conduct GR&R studies and correlate CMM results with mechanical and automated inspection methods
- Provide hands-on mechanical inspection support and CMM verification for machined components
- Analyze and communicate inspection results, including graphical reporting and basic SPC analysis to support process improvement
- Assemble, qualify, calibrate, and maintain CMM stylus systems; perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors for support
- Identify and implement fixturing solutions for component work holding during inspection
- Create and maintain inspection documentation, including CMM reports, GR&R studies, and correlation reports
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause investigations
- Follow ISO standards and internal quality procedures
- Maintain regular attendance and support additional areas or shifts as business needs require
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience using automated inspection software
- Experience with CMM software such as Calypso, PC-DMIS, Modus, ATOS, or similar
- Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-2009/2018) required
- Strong understanding of inspection methods and quality processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support operations as needed
- Experience with problem-solving and continuous improvement practices preferred

Pay Details: $40.00 to $46.00 per hour
