Job Summary
The Drafter is responsible for producing accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation for gas measurement equipment and related systems. This role requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and the ability to interpret engineering data to support fabrication, production, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting
- Create 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Prepare drawings, layouts, and assemblies for gas measurement equipment and related piping systems
- Update and maintain drawing files, templates, and standard components
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and customer requirements
- Interpret engineering data, P&IDs, and technical specifications
- Provide complete and accurate drawing packages to engineering and production teams
- Assist with drawing revisions, redlines, and document updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production personnel to meet project schedules
- Provide timely drawing updates and deliverables
- Assist with compiling drawing packages and technical documentation
- Review drawings for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
- Maintain proper revision control and documentation practices
- Ensure drawings meet applicable industry standards when required (API, ASME, AGA, etc.)
Experience
- 2-5 years of drafting and design experience preferred
- Experience in gas measurement, oil & gas, or industrial/process equipment is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
- Basic understanding of piping layouts, mechanical components, and fabrication drawings
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and CAD file management systems preferred
- Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
