The Role BAE Systems is seeking an
End User Computer Engineer - Windows Platforms to support and maintain Windows desktop services and infrastructure within a secure enterprise environment. You'll be responsible for Windows image management, VMware platforms, infrastructure support, security hardening, and troubleshooting, ensuring services are delivered in line with ITIL best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Windows 10/11 images.
- Support VMware Horizon, Windows infrastructure, and desktop services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise desktop performance.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
- Implement Windows security hardening (CIS benchmarks).
- Develop automation using PowerShell and support infrastructure improvements.
Essential Skills
- Windows 10/11 and VMware Horizon.
- VMware vCenter, ESXi, and App Volumes.
- Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Windows security hardening (CIS).
- PowerShell and automation experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
