Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for an Enterprise Architect on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

Main responsibilities:
  • Be the primary expert responsible for the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture, supporting the client's Digital and Corporate Strategies.
  • Account for the creation, delivery, and review of the client's technology strategy, roadmap, and investment plan, and manage the architecture review board.
  • Supervise Solution Architects on projects, provide direct advice, and perform governance tasks.
  • Uphold and enhance the client's Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and patterns.
  • Develop an architecture community of practice for knowledge sharing and consistency amongst Digital Service's architecture specialists.
  • Translate business strategies into an operating model, assess capabilities, identify required changes, and document the interrelationships between various organisational elements.
  • Create and manage architectural models depicting the organisation's future state, enabling its evolution.
Requirements:
  • Contact centre knowledge
  • Public sector experience
  • As-is landscaping on a large scale
  • Maturing functions
  • Educated to degree level or commensurate business/architectural qualification i.e. TOGAF
  • Experience of enterprise architecture and design and a breadth of working knowledge of Enterprise IT solutions including servers, storage, databases, networking, applications, and security within an Enterprise Architecture context.
  • High level IT literacy in designing, implementing, and developing solutions that produce durable, flexible, and extensible architectural designs
  • Experience and understanding of industry standards/best practice including ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF, ISO 27001, Data Protection Act and other legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the management of a public sector IT
  • Full life cycle experience, responsible for the development of a complete set of architectural views for an enterprise in accordance with one of the common architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, DoDAF, MODAF, FEAF)
  • An understanding of a range of architecture approaches, Architectural modelling skills using UML, BPMN, ArchiMate 3.0 & Enterprise Architecture tooling such as Archi BiZZDesign Enterprise Studio, Sparx Enterprise Architect & MooD
