Enterprise Architect

Overview
An organisation operating in complex, secure environments is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive enterprise-wide architecture strategy across multiple programmes and domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise architecture development and governance across programmes
• Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and frameworks aligned to business strategy
• Shape architecture strategy for a major Line of Business
• Provide technical leadership across cloud, infrastructure, data, applications, and security
• Chair design reviews and ensure alignment with strategic and security objectives
• Drive innovation, research, and capability development
• Represent the organisation at senior external forums
• Mentor and develop the internal architecture community

Requirements

• Proven experience leading enterprise architecture in large, complex environments (Essential)
• Strong background in defence/aerospace programmes within secure or government contexts (Essential)
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, MODAF, ArchiMate) (Essential)
• Deep understanding of secure-by-design principles and cybersecurity (Essential)
• Experience in architectural governance, design assurance, and cross-domain delivery
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, cloud architect, CISSP)
• Experience contributing to industry standards or thought leadership
• Exposure to international or regulatory environments

This opportunity is operating inside of IR35.
