SUMMARY:
Our client is a a rapidly growing company in the electric vehicle infrastructure industry and is seeking a detail-oriented Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Technician to support and expand its service operations. Service excellence is central to the organization, backed by advanced software, experienced project management, and fully integrated equipment-making the service division a key contributor to continued growth
The EVCS Technician will join the service operations team and report to the Field Service Manager. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while delivering high-quality service and directly supporting the transition to electric mobility. A company vehicle is provided for work use and includes GPS tracking for safety and accountability.
What You'll Do :
Diagnose and repair electrical charging infrastructure using advanced tools and techniques, from computer diagnostics to basic electrical repairs
Maintain detailed records for all repairs and installations; coordinate with third parties and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
Ensure all services and projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, with strong attention to resource allocation and client satisfaction
Proactively offer clients additional services, including service agreements, preventative maintenance plans, monitoring software, and other revenue-generating solutions; generate warm leads for the sales team and request referrals to support business growth
Provide and maintain your own basic hand tools required for performing work on EV chargers
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining high safety standards while working with high voltage and in varying environmental conditions
Track charging infrastructure performance, provide detailed progress reports, and escalate issues to management as needed
Maintain a high level of professionalism at client sites and build strong relationships with third parties and vendors
Continue developing technical expertise through ongoing training and certifications provided by the company
Your Experience and Capabilities :
2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, EV, or a related client-facing role
Associate's degree or certification in a relevant technical field
Journeyman's license or higher, or formal electrical training, strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of electric vehicle charging systems, EV technology, and electrical systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Self-starter with a proactive mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced or start-up environment
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel 75%+ within assigned territory and nearby regions, with occasional nationwide travel
Physical and Environmental Demands :
Includes but is not limited to lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, ladder work, walking, working in extreme temperatures (hot/cold), confined spaces, excessive noise, and high-voltage environments
Must be comfortable independently operating a vehicle for extended periods and flying domestically for work-related travel
