Experienced Low Voltage Security / Access Control / AV Technician
Tolleson IncTolleson Inc. is hiring an experienced low voltage, security, access control, and AV technician for commercial and residential technology projects across Middle Tennessee.
We are looking for someone who can walk onto a job, understand the scope, solve problems, support or lead another tech when needed, and finish work cleanly without constant hand-holding.
If you are the person other technicians call when the access control system will not work, the cameras are offline, the door hardware is acting up, or the wiring needs to be cleaned up and made right, we want to talk.
What You'll Work On
- Access control systems including Brivo, Avigilon Alta / OpenPath, DoorKing, Paxton, card readers, maglocks, strikes, REX devices, and gate interfaces
- Video surveillance systems including Avigilon, UniFi Protect, Axis, Eagle Eye, Uniview, NVRs, and network video troubleshooting
- Low voltage cabling, structured wiring, network racks, switches, wireless, device terminations, and cleanup work
- Intrusion, monitored alarm, and life-safety related service work
- Commercial AV and conference room systems including displays, control, audio, and presentation equipment
- Gate operators and related access control integrations including DoorKing and HySecurity
- Troubleshooting existing systems, correcting prior installations, documenting service work, and communicating clearly with customers
What We Need
- Field experience as a technician in low voltage, security, access control, AV, IT, fire, or related systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with access control, cameras, doors, locks, networks, and low voltage systems
- Ability to read job notes, understand scope, plan the work, and work independently
- Clean, professional installation habits
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP devices, switches, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Good communication with customers, property managers, contractors, and office staff
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable attendance and authorization to work in the U.S.
