Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role will focus on installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining surveillance and access control systems, as well as other low-voltage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cabling, electrical systems, and security technology, and will be comfortable working in a variety of environments.
General Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat 6, fiber optics, etc.) for surveillance cameras, access control systems, and related equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot surveillance cameras, access control panels, DVR/NVR systems, and other low-voltage devices.
- Conduct site assessments, design layouts, and ensure proper installation.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Accurately document all work, including diagrams, schematics, and service logs.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in low voltage systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and cabling.
- Familiarity with IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and access control panels.
- Experience with structured cabling and installation techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High School diploma or higher.
