Summary: The Retail Field Marketing Supervisor is responsible for driving lead generation at our local retail partnerships along with organizing and attending a variety of events, including local, county and state fairs, home shows, and other community gatherings. The Supervisor will actively engage with shoppers and eventgoers to identify potential customers and introduce them to company products and services. The Supervisor will also support the Retail Field Marketing Manager with training new hires, providing ongoing training for current Retail Marketing Representatives and assisting with scheduling to ensure seamless retail and event operations. The Supervisors ability to connect with people and contribute to team training will be essential in strengthening our brand presence and growing our customer base.

This position requires candidates to understand that the majority of scheduled work, events, and assignments will take place in the Rhode Island area. Applicants must be willing and able to consistently travel and work throughout Rhode Island as part of their regular responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee and support field marketing teams within a specific region, ensuring effective execution of retail and events.
  • Lead team in actively engaging with retail and event attendees to schedule in-home consultations for Long Home products and services, while also acting as an individual contributor and meeting quota.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of Retail Field Marketing Representatives in the region.
  • Lead retail and event logistics within the region, ensuring smooth operations from set up to breakdown, while managing team performance on-site. 
  • Monitor and review team KPIs, providing feedback and guidance to team members to ensure field marketing goals are met.
  • Assist with field training program including training manuals, classroom and field training cadences for Retail Field Marketing Representatives. 
  • Assist in managing regional field marketing budgets, ensuring adherence to forecasted costs, and report on spending.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall department calendar, assist in scheduling and coordination and attend all regional events and adhere to retail hours.
  • Support the execution of field marketing by troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety and legal compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports on regional field marketing performance, identifying key successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor Retail Field Marketing Representatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Oversee the use of event tech tools, including lead capture and registration systems, ensuring effective data collection. 
  • Ensure team representation of the company is professional at all assigned field marketing retail and events.

Strong organizational skills enable the supervisor to juggle multiple events and deadlines without compromising quality. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office facilitates efficient planning, budgeting, and reporting. Communication and interpersonal skills are critical for negotiating with vendors, motivating team members, and collaborating with cross-functional departments. Additionally, knowledge of digital marketing and CRM tools enhances the ability to measure event impact and integrate field activities with broader marketing strategies, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and optimized customer engagement.
