Amnesty International has been fighting the bad guys since 1961 and we need your help to continue our amazing, life changing work. We have a vacancy for a new, fixed term (6 months) role as a "Finance Assistant", providing a range of support and administrative back up to the Amnesty International Staff in the Amnesty International Ireland headquarters in Dublin.

If you are keen to help the cause of human rights, are full of energy, flexible, motivated, have good knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, CRM systems and quick to learn, then this job might be for you.

Responsibilities
  • Handling Accounts Payable: book purchases, run payments, perform data control, and reconcile accounts.
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable: book sales on the database, extract the sales reports and reconcile with payments received bank.
  • Supporting the finance function with bank reconciliations, staff expenses, petty cash, and month end tasks.
  • Keeping financial records accurate and helping with compliance reporting.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all transactions are booked and posted accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and colleagues to resolve queries quickly and efficiently.
Who You Are
  • You've got 2+ years' experience in a finance/accounts role.
  • You know your way around AP/AR processes and accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks etc.).
  • You're organised, advanced in Excel, and a clear communicator.
  • You hold (desirable or you are working towards) a Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration qualification (IATI or equivalent).
