LHH is actively seeking a Financial Business Analyst for one of our top clients in Fountain Valley! This will be a long term contract opportunity with our client and will report onsite to their office in Fountain Valley.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations & Financial Coordinator to support the day-to-day financial and operational activities of the division. This role is responsible for managing the purchase order process, tracking budgets and expenditures, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal purchasing and accounting procedures. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the creation and submission of purchase orders (POs) for all divisional projects and services.
- Maintain and manage a master purchase order tracker, including schedules of compensation.
- Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for completeness and resolve outstanding questions or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing, finance, and operational procedures throughout the PO lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on the status of all purchase orders, following up with project owners as needed.
- Serve as a resource for purchase order inquiries and provide guidance and training to internal team members.
- Track and manage fixed assets, responding to accounting inquiries related to asset completion.
- Prepare monthly accruals, spending analyses, and budget reconciliation reports.
- Maintain accurate budget tracking and provide monthly financial reporting.
- Assist with budget transfers, reclassifications, and the annual budgeting process.
- Generate ad hoc financial and operational reports as requested.
- Provide backup support for invoice submission and processing within the Operations team.
- Verify that invoices and services align with approved Statements of Work and authorized scope.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of processed financial transactions.
QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in an administrative, financial, or business operations role.
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while handling confidential financial information.
Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
