LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading SaaS company in downtown Austin to identify an experienced Interim Finance Manager. This is a high-impact consulting engagement supporting the executive finance team during a leadership transition. The role offers visibility with VP/SVP stakeholders and the opportunity to influence strategic decisions within a fast-moving technology organization.
Position Overview
The Interim Finance Manager will provide executive-level oversight of financial operations, guide a team of three direct reports, and serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership. This is not a hands-on data-pulling role-rather, it focuses on reviewing analyses, interpreting trends, validating insights, and ensuring high-quality financial output across the function.
Due to the nature of the transition, the ideal consultant is someone who can quickly understand the business model, ask smart questions, and immediately add strategic value.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide executive-level financial leadership, partnering closely with VP and SVP stakeholders.
• Review and validate financial analyses, forecasts, and monthly variance explanations prepared by the team.
• Interpret financial results, identify trends, and help guide strategic decision-making across the business.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial deliverables, reporting packages, and executive presentations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, Business Intelligence, and Accounting teams.
• Provide high-quality communication and stakeholder management across all levels of the organization.
Requirements
• Director-level Finance leadership experience within SaaS or technology preferred.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to present to VP/SVP-level stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Expertise in variance analysis, forecasting, strategic insights, and business partnership.
• Ability to quickly diagnose issues, challenge assumptions, and validate data integrity.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex financial information.
• Comfort stepping into an interim environment and adding immediate value.
• Hybrid availability: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday downtown Austin.
Contract Details
• 6 month contract through LHH
• Hybrid schedule (Tue-Thu in office)
• Director-level consultant rate (aligned to experience and value; approximately in the $75-85/hr range)
• Opportunity for future permanent conversion if mutually aligned
Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
