Hays Senior Finance- Interim Financial Accounting & Controls Manager
- Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days home)
- Rate: 450 PAYE / 515 Umbrella per day
- Duration: Initial 3-6-month contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Accounting & Controls Manager to join a large, complex organisation undergoing significant transformation. Working within a specialist finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial accounting, governance and controls across a major business area whilst driving process improvements, enhancing compliance and supporting best practice across the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of financial accounting and controls across a designated business area
Preparation of technical accounting papers and support on accounting judgements
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations and governance requirements
Supporting audit activity and strengthening financial control frameworks
Driving process improvements and contributing to a faster, more efficient month-end close process
Working with senior stakeholders across a large matrix organisation.
About You
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
Proven background in financial controls, governance, risk and compliance
Experience operating within large, complex organisations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Technical accounting expertise and experience of statutory reportinG
SAP experience would be advantageous.
This role would suit a Financial Controls Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, Group Accountant, Technical Accounting Manager or experienced Finance Manager seeking an exciting interim opportunity within a high-profile programme.
