LHH is working with an amazing Non-Profit company located in San Francisco who is seeking a skilled Financial Budgeting Analyst to join the team. As a company, they are committed to providing exceptional service and make a true difference in the local community.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal teams to support planning activities and financial reviews tied to mid-year forecasting and resource allocation
- Analyze departmental inputs and prepare high-level financial summaries to support leadership decision-making
- Develop budget materials for external funding requests in collaboration with program and partnership stakeholders, including coordinating discussions and addressing follow-up inquiries from funders
- Work closely with accounting to monitor spending trends and compare projected budgets against actual results for designated initiatives
- Evaluate funding agreements and contract terms to confirm appropriate alignment with program needs
- Review financial documentation from partner organizations-such as budgets and financial statements-to assess fiscal stability and escalate potential risks to the appropriate teams
- Provide additional support related to grants and contractual obligations as needed, in coordination with cross-functional partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, modeling and analysis
- Exposure to Workday Adaptive required
- Experience with Grants administration is a plus
- Excel at working with existing systems and resources while striving towards improvement
- Highly responsible and responsive with a positive attitude
- Collaborative team player, both within the group and across the organization
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of basic nonprofit accounting
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel; high proficiency with other Windows products, such as Word and Outlook
