Financial Review Specialist (Hybrid) Compensation

• The pay for this position is 20.00 per hour paid
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday Hours per week: 37.5

Financial Review Specialist (Hybrid) Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare regulations governing nursing facilities
• Conduct financial and follow-up reviews in accordance with federal and state policies
• Analyze nursing facility accounts receivable to identify overpayments and discrepancies
• Manage recovery and collection of overpaid claims
• Review resident trust accounts to ensure proper fiduciary controls and appropriate expenditures
• Compare census data and payer sources against official records for accuracy
• Prepare and organize documentation needed for financial reviews
• Compile findings and present results to facility staff
• Identify trends and potential concerns in billing practices
• Conduct entrance and exit conferences with facility personnel
• Provide technical assistance to providers on billing requirements and enrollment processes
• Review documentation for compliance with departmental standards and regulations
• Maintain databases for tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Process and monitor claim adjustments
• Respond to provider inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Participate in hearings and defend financial review findings as needed

Financial Review Specialist (Hybrid) Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience with Medicaid billing
• Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and policies
