Fractional QA Tester

Job Description - Fractional QA (Outside IR35)

Day Rate: £260 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Mostly remote, with some travel to a London office and client sites

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Fractional QA to ensure quality is upheld across all technical projects, covering both digital and physical installations.

You will play a key role in embedding QA into delivery processes, supporting development, engineering teams and ensuring consistent standards from build through deployment.

Key Responsibilities QA Process & Standards

• Ensure QA is embedded into development and engineering workflows
• Design, implement and maintain scalable QA processes across multiple projects
• Introduce and optimise QA tools to support iterative testing, accountability and sign-off
• Enable teams to run structured and repeatable QA cycles

Delivery & Collaboration

• Act as a key member of the delivery team
• Work closely with development and engineering teams to enforce quality standards and best practices
• Create project-specific QA plans aligned to stakeholder and client requirements
• Coordinate QA activity across internal teams, freelancers, contractors, and suppliers
• Identify, track and escalation defects and delivery risks appropriately

Skills & Experience Tools & Technical Experience

• Experience with operational tools such as DevOps, or similar
• Familiarity with project tools such as WorkSheet or equivalent
• Hands on experience with QA tools including Postman, BugHerd, Marker.io or similar
• Experience testing touchscreen interfaces and interactive installations, primarily on Windows operating systems
• Solid understanding of core software principles (front end vs server side, environments, integrations)
