A leading Capital Markets business is seeking a hands-on Business Analyst/Junior Project Manager (hybrid BA/PM) to support its Front Office Regulatory Controls function, with a strong focus on electronic trading (e-trading).
This is a high-visibility, fast-paced role, working directly with a senior stakeholder within a lean team. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating autonomously, managing competing priorities, and delivering high-quality outcomes with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with Front Office Sales & Trading, COO, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Business Control Officers (BCOs), and Technology teams
Analyse and support the resolution of Front Office regulatory and control issues, including:
Control breaches
Trader incidents
Electronic trading queries
Limit management
Conduct process reviews and gap analyses to identify and implement improvements to control frameworks
Work directly with a Senior Subject Matter Expert to:
Define problems
Shape solutions
Drive delivery end-to-end
Produce clear, structured documentation, analysis, and reporting to progress issues through to resolution
Engage with senior stakeholders (eg Heads of Desk, BCOs) to classify products and activities under e-trading definitions, using structured frameworks (eg questionnaires)
Take ownership of assigned initiatives, acting as the sole BA aligned to a desk, with full accountability for delivery
Key RequirementsEssential:
Proven Business Analyst experience within Front Office (Sales & Trading) environments
Strong exposure to electronic trading (e-trading) environments
Experience working on regulatory/controls-focused initiatives, including:
Control breaches
Trader incidents
Electronic trading controls
Limit management
Solid understanding of MiFID II, with specific knowledge of RTS 6 (algorithmic/electronic trading requirements)
Experience delivering change initiatives (BA/PM hybrid capability)
Ability to operate independently as the sole BA supporting a desk
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
High level of self-management, prioritisation, and accountability
Ability to quickly grasp complex regulatory topics and translate into actionable outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with senior stakeholders
