Business Analyst - Payments
Location: Dublin/Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Day Rate: €400-500 p/d
Duration: 6 months rolling

Alldus are partnering with a leading consultancy and is seeking two experienced Payments Business Analysts (one Senior and one mid-level) to support key transformation initiatives within the European payments landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact programmes focused on modern payments, fraud prevention, and regulatory change.

Responsibilities
  • Lead detailed business and technical analysis across payments, fraud prevention, and open finance domains.
  • Translate regulatory requirements (including PSD2 and Open Banking) into clear epics, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Define and document business, data, and control requirements, ensuring full traceability and audit readiness.
  • Partner with architecture, security, and engineering teams to design end-to-end customer journeys and process flows.
  • Support delivery teams through development and testing phases, ensuring solutions meet design, performance, and compliance goals.
  • Conduct impact assessments and gap analyses on existing systems and processes.
  • Ensure smooth transition into business-as-usual (BAU), with appropriate controls, monitoring, and documentation in place.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology stakeholders, driving clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments in payments, fraud trends, and European regulatory changes.
Skillset
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in payments or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of European payments frameworks and regulations.
  • Hands on experience with PSD2 / Open Banking initiatives.
  • Background in payments processing, fraud prevention and compliance environments.
  • Experience working in complex, cross functional delivery teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
