Full Stack Software Engineer | London OR Birmingham | £675 p/d | 2-3 days on site | Inside IR35 | 3-6 months initially
We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team delivering innovative data automation solutions for enterprise clients. This is a hands-on role where you'll design and build a modern web application that simplifies complex business workflows, automates data processing, and provides a seamless end-user experience.
Working alongside experienced consultants and automation engineers, you'll play a key role in developing a customer-facing portal that orchestrates automated workflows from request submission through to completion, giving users complete visibility of progress and results.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop and enhance a modern full-stack web application using contemporary Front End and Back End technologies.
- Build intuitive user interfaces that allow users to submit, track and manage automated data processing requests.
- Develop scalable Back End services, REST APIs and database components that power the application.
- Integrate the application with automation platforms and Back End services to deliver end-to-end workflow automation.
- Create approval workflows, status tracking, reporting dashboards and audit capabilities.
- Support the application throughout development, testing, deployment and production releases.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years' experience in Full Stack Software Development.
- Strong experience with a modern JavaScript framework
- Commercial Back End development experience with Python, Node.js or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and developing Restful APIs.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience building secure, scalable web applications with authentication and authorisation.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Comfortable working with Linux and Bash.
Desirable Experience
- Developing workflow-driven or business process applications.
- Building internal business portals or enterprise web applications.
- Integrating applications with automation platforms or Back End APIs.
- Experience within regulated industries such as financial services or highly governed environments.
