We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-profile SIFA 5 programme within a UK Government environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a meaningful data-sharing initiative, contributing to services that impact millions of users across the public sector.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

What you'll be doing

- Building and maintaining scalable full stack applications

- Developing Back End services using Node.js

- Working within GDS frameworks and standards

- Utilising CASA architecture within government systems

- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across product, design and delivery

- Contributing to modern, user-centred digital services

What we're looking for

- Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript

- Proven background delivering in the UK Public Sector/GDS environment

- Experience with CASA or similar GDS architecture

- Strong full stack capability (Back End-led)

- Experience working in Agile teams

- Active SC Clearance

- Exposure to SIFA or similar programmes

- Familiarity with GOV.UK Design System

- July 2026 start

- Fully remote, with occasional in-person sessions in Newcastle Upon Tyne

- Working on a high-impact government programme
