GCP Site Reliability Engineer

My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a GCP DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity inside IR35 based in Bristol offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on-site.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GCP API Management (Apigee) - Infrastructure, GCP Networking, GCP Cloud Armor, GCP Load Balancer, GCP Kubernetes Service (GKE), GCP Storage, HashiCorp Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, Harness, Containers and Backstage.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GCP-based services, Strong DevOps background with experience in IaC and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, Jenkins), Ability to quickly understand, update, and write code in Python, Groovy, Bash, and PowerShell, Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, and APIs, Strong troubleshooting, logical thinking, and problem-solving ability, Hands-on experience with observability tooling, including Observability-as-Code and SLO-based Dynatrace monitoring, Strong knowledge of source control practices (Git) and collaborative engineering workflows, Experience developing and administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments, Strong background in automation to eliminate toil, Solid understanding of incident management and issue resolution and Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and skill development.
