This role is responsible for the administration, integration, and operational stability of the agency's Electronic Health Records (EHR), Lab Information Systems, PACS, and Pharmacy Information Systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between clinical workflows and technical infrastructure, ensuring seamless data interoperability and system reliability across various healthcare interfaces. Core Responsibilities Implementation & Go-Live: Lead the build, testing, and deployment phases for healthcare applications (EHR, PACS, Lab, and Pharmacy) in coordination with vendors and clinical staff. System Maintenance: Oversee the health IT infrastructure, including the management of databases, application templates, and specialized reporting. Technical Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting, triage, and root-cause analysis for EMR-related issues, escalating to vendors as necessary. Workflow Optimization: Document and analyze current clinical workflows for medical and mental health providers to improve system efficiency. Interoperability: Ensure robust data transfer and integration between internal systems and external healthcare partners. Required Qualifications & Experience EMR Expertise: 7+ years of experience with Electronic Medical Records, with a strong preference for NextGen. Integration Engines: 7+ years of experience with Mirth Lab Systems and EMR integration. Data Standards: 7+ years of experience in Healthcare Interoperability and complex Data Transfer protocols. Operations: 7+ years of experience in Healthcare IT Operations. Public Sector: Direct experience working for a State Government Agency. Residency: Candidate must be a current resident of South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia. Preferred Skills Messaging Protocols: Hands-on experience with HL7 Messaging and FHIR. Certifications: NextGen Connect, EHR, or Practice Management certifications. Work Environment Remote Status: 100% Remote work allowed.
