Human Resources Specialist

Location: Sorrento Valley, San Diego, CA

Schedule: Full-Time MondayFriday

A growing company in Sorrento Valley is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Specialist to join their team. This role will support a variety of HR functions with a strong focus on payroll processing, employee support, and HR administrative duties. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely submission of employee hours and records
• Maintain employee files and HR documentation in compliance with company policies
• Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, and employee orientations
• Support benefits administration and respond to employee HR-related inquiries
• Coordinate leave requests, timekeeping, and attendance tracking
• Assist with recruitment efforts, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and HR correspondence as needed
• Support HR leadership with administrative projects and daily operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Human Resources and/or payroll experience
• Knowledge of payroll processing and HR procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Position Details

• Contract to role
• Onsite work in Sorrento Valley. San Diego
• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday
• Schedule: 8:00am5:00pm PST
• Compensation: $27.00-$32.00 per hour DOE

Pay Details: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour
