About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to support our manufacturing operations in Pittsfield, MA. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial electrical systems that support raw materials processing, papermaking, converting, and material handling operations.

This position is ideal for an experienced electrician who takes pride in safety, enjoys complex troubleshooting, and wants to work in a collaborative, fast-paced industrial environment.

What You'll Do
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and systems
  • Support production equipment including motors, VFDs, power transmission systems, DCS/PLC systems, and material handling equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to trouble calls efficiently
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems from low voltage through 480 VAC, including switchgear, cooling, and monitoring systems
  • Install, configure, back up, and maintain VFD drives and motors
  • Assist with electrical installations using blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Manage the electrical work order backlog in Asset Essentials, including PM scheduling and documentation
  • Collaborate with mechanics, engineers, supervisors, and contractors to complete work safely and effectively
  • Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and a clean, organized work environment
  • Provide on-call support for after-hours operational emergencies
  • Mentor junior technicians and support skill development across the maintenance team

Technical Qualifications

Required skills and experience include:
  • In-field repair of industrial electrical systems
  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting (low voltage to 480 VAC)
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and DCS systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Experience measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing conduit and pipe
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including multimeters, voltage testers, and circuit finders
  • Working knowledge of industrial codes and standards (NFPA, OSHA, NEC)
  • Familiarity with hoisting and rigging practices
  • Understanding of papermaking or similar industrial process equipment preferred
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license or higher (required)
  • 7+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated safety record and advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and respond promptly to trouble calls
PAY RATE: $28.36 to $38.25 (pay based on experience)

Pay Details: $28.36 to $38.25 per hour
