Insurance Specialist

?We are currently working with one of the largest housing providers in the UK, to help find them a new Insurance Specialist to join their team on an interim basis, initially for 3 months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly/daily rate is negotiable, but likely to be around £30 p/h or £200 p/d. This is a FULLY REMOTE opportunity - you will only need to attend the office periodically in line with business needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within insurance management, including previous dealings with brokers, insurers and lawyers. Experience working within the housing sector is desirable but not essential.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading the insurance function for Homes Operations to ensure appropriate insurance cover is always in place to support the delivery of the Group business plan objectives and Business Continuity plans
• Assisting the team with a back log of claims, including fire, water damage, subsidence and public liability
• Developing and maintaining relationships with insurers and consultants, whilst discussing claims with internal members of staff
• Delivering training to colleagues including those in Housing Management and maintenance roles to ensure that there is an effective understanding of their role in providing insurers with information in the event of a claim
• Working alongside Homes & Finance, Assurance and Governance teams and with insurance consultants as required to support the procurement of insurance contracts

Experience required:

• Experience in preparing and analysing claims
• Insurance and claim management experience and management of legal claims
• Experience working within the housing sector is desirable but not essential
