Interaction Designer - Contract

We're looking for an experienced Interaction Designer to join a long-term programme delivering user-centred digital services at scale. You'll work closely with researchers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible user journeys.

Role Details

• Contract length: 12 months
• Rate: £400 per day
• IR35: Outside
• Location: Fully remote

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user journeys, flows, and interaction models
• Translate user needs and business requirements into clear interaction designs
• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications
• Collaborate closely with UX researchers, content designers, and engineers
• Iterate designs based on user feedback and usability testing
• Ensure designs meet accessibility and usability standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as an Interaction Designer on digital products or services
• Proven ability to design complex user journeys
• Skilled with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of user-centred design and accessibility principles

Nice to Have

• Experience in public sector or large-scale platforms
• Familiarity with design systems
• Accessibility knowledge (WCAG)
