Morgan Law is seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner (Adults) for a local authority in London.
Accountabilities
- Ensuring the requirements of the Council's financial strategy are met
- To identify savings within the financial budget to support the medium-term financial plan (MTFP)
- Assisting in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the "Adults Social Care" directorate, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial regulations
- Respond to information requests quickly and accurately
- providing high quality professional advice on the financial implications of corporate proposals and drafting financial comments within committee reports to inform decision making.
- Provide financial reports for departmental meetings as required
- Provide specialist technical advice relating to their areas of responsibility
- Provide advice and support regarding the financial aspects of local systems. To ensure processes and procedures are robust, confirm to best professional practice and provide value for money
- Evaluate legislative and policy changes and assess the financial impact on the service
Essential Criteria
- CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant, with relevant post-qualification experience in finance and accounting
- High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience in Adult Social Care within a local authority environment
- Strong strategic Finance Business Partnering experience gained within a local authority setting
- Available to start immediately
