Interim Financial Accountant

Location: London (4 days at home, 1 day in the office)

Contract: 3 months initially (high likelihood of extension or potential permanent opportunity)

Halliday Marx are partnering with a growing Tech firm business who are looking to appoint an Interim Financial Accountant. This role is very likely to extend or go permanent.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journals and reconciliations
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, automate processes and streamline finance workflows
• Taking ownership of key financial processes and helping the team operate more efficiently
• Acting as a point of contact for technical accounting queries where required
• Supporting year-end audit preparation and queries
• Working with the wider business to improve reporting and financial visibility
• Assisting with analysis and reporting to support business decision making

Requirements

• Proactive and good at giving solutions
• Confident and outstanding communication skills
• Qualified in either the ACA/ACCA/CA
• Experience with revenue recognition
• Exposure to BI reporting tools
• Advanced Excel skills such as Power Query, VBA or Macros
