My client, a highly successful organisation based in Basildon are looking for an Interim Head of Finance / Financial Controller to join them for 4-6 months.

Description

As the Interim Head of Finance / Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a team of two
• Preparing monthly management accounts along with clear, insightful commentary
• Meeting all group reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
• Managing the month-end close process
• Producing KPI dashboards to support business performance tracking

This is a hands-on role working closely with the Commercial Director and offers an excellent opportunity to keep the finance function running efficiently over the next 4-6 months.

Profile

My client is seeking a candidate with the following skills and experience:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Background in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing, with strong stock accounting knowledge
• Proven experience managing small teams

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to hit the ground running. This position is particularly well suited to someone with a contracting background who is comfortable adapting quickly and delivering immediate results.

Job Offer

A day rate dependent on experience - up to £450 per day inside IR35

The opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week dependent on business demands
