Cisco Network Engineer - £250-£275/day - Contract - Cork, Ireland

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a contract opportunity based at a prestigious FMCG campus in Cork, Ireland. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting the maintenance and operational stability of the campus network environment. The successful candidate will work within a global IT function, collaborating across multiple teams and vendors to ensure network resilience and support key technology projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance of the network environment, ensuring operational performance, stability, and resilience across the Cork campus
• Participate in project planning calls that impact the Cork network
• Deliver PGCS Cork network and operations projects including technology life cycle management, network expansion, and deployment of new technologies
• Manage changes and assist in deployments across the network infrastructure
• Write and/or execute test scripts post-deployment to ensure the network is functioning as expected
• Participate in incident management and resolution
• Communicate effectively with relevant IT and business stakeholders on network issues and project delivery

Requirements:

• Strong background in Network IT Operations with 3+ years of experience
• Technical knowledge and integration experience across Network, Compute, Workplace Services and Security technologies
• Degree or Masters in a related area, or equivalent relevant industry experience
• Proven experience collaborating and building relationships across multiple teams and vendors
• Broad technical capability combined with excellent communication skills
• Well organised with strong ability to multi-task and reprioritise work regularly
• Cisco networking certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are desirable
• Awareness of IT, business and IT/OT governance strategies is advantageous
• Project and integration experience in network technologies is a plus
