IT Assistant

Paramount Transportation Systems, Inc. in San Marcos, CA is currently recruiting a local, full-time, entry-level, Information Technology Assistant. This position is an IT / IS / Programming or IT Customer Service / Help Desk position and is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in the IT industry.

This is an entry-level position and is intended for candidates who are beginning their IT career.

Duties include:

• Installing new computers and repairing current computers
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning hardware
• Data Entry, answer phones as needed
• Monitor and operate computer equipment and peripherals
• Provide computer operations and support to computer users while working with the likelihood of frequent interruptions, multiple priorities, deadlines, inquiries, and peak workloads.
• Diagnose and correct problems
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• CompTIA certification or equivalent is a plus, but not required
• Applicants must be able to pay close attention to detail, prioritize workflow, and work under pressure.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and directions
• Good organizational skills are critical
• Excellent internal customer service skills, written and verbal communication, and solid computer and math skills
