IT Field Technician Abilene (TX)

Overview
Barrister is seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Device Field Technician to
support healthcare facilities in Abilene, TX.
This is a flexible, on-call opportunity for an independent contractor.
In this role, you will respond to break/fix service requests, ensuring critical
medical equipment is fully operational for healthcare professionals.

Scope of Work On-Site Tasks
Disassemble CIVCO ASTRA units to access internal components
Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty parts
Replace defective components (boards, pumps, valves, sensors, hoses as
needed)
Reassemble units and secure all connections
Run test cycles to verify proper operation (no leaks or system errors)
Perform basic maintenance (filters, WILD cycle if required)
Document all work performed and confirm unit functionality

Responsibilities
Respond to service requests on an on-call basis (same day or next
business day)
Perform break/fix maintenance at medical facilities
Communicate effectively with site staff and provide excellent customer
service
Complete required online training prior to starting (paid)

Ability to work independently and respond quickly to service calls
Professional communication and customer service skills
Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor

Compensation
Service calls: $35 $40 per hour
Paid online training: $15 per hour
