IT Support Tech 1

Location: 400 E 6th Street Corona ca 92879 Job Type: Full Time Salary: $20-25/hour In office with some travel with use of company truck Associates degree or equivalent M-F - 8-hour shift Summary At All American Asphalt we are looking for a highly motivated individual that can work under direct supervision to install, maintain, test, and repair systems. Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives and provide first-level technical information systems support. Resolves routine technical problems. May train employees on various applications. Responsibilities and Duties 1. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for hardware, software, and network issues 2. Provides individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies 3. Maintains and updates record keeping system; documents projects and maintains user instructions 4. Tracks inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry for project documents and reports 5. Assists with evaluating hardware and software acquisitions and network updates 6. Installs, configures, and maintains computers, workstations, and related equipment 7. Works within the ticketing system to create detailed work logs and technical documentation 8. Communicates important issues to the team and coordinates with Operations on procedures that may affect their work 9. Escalates issues to Tier 2 as needed and sets customer expectations for follow-up 10.Maintains positive working relationships with all team members 11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to handle and prioritize a lot of tasks each day. Ability to produce user and troubleshooting documentation that other people can understand. Ability to provide directions to staff and/or student to resolve technological issues Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions. Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems. Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems. Conditions of Employment Successful candidates may be subject to a criminal background check, clean driving record, and a drug test prior to starting work. A 90 day probationary period from day of employment. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 25 pounds and/or standing and/or walking an average of four (4) hours per day. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment but at times work outside, at times it will require travel.
