Java Developer (Low Latency)

Our client are a global consulting firm, working on a project in the Investment Banking space, they are on the lookout for a Low Latency Java Developer to come in on a contract basis.

Key Skills/Requirements:

• Experience with Core Java development
• Experience building high-performance, low-latency, high-throughput applications
• Multithreading, concurrency and parallel programming experience
• Experience with JVM tuning, Garbage Collection optimisation and performance profiling
• Experience designing event-driven and reactive systems for Real Time processing
• Algorithms and data structures for performance-critical applications
• Experience with Linux environments and system-level performance optimisation
• Solid understanding of TCP/UDP networking and low-level networking concepts
• Experience optimising applications for resource efficiency and minimal latency
• Ability to identify and resolve application and JVM performance bottlenecks

Contract is running for 12 months initially, paying up to £535p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) and will be 3 days per week onsite in London.
